Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, said that he does not accept attempts to make the anniversary of the October 7 attack about the continued impact on Gaza, as it was 'Hamas ideology' that brought the attack and suffering in Gaza.
Danon said that while the military retains presence in Gaza three years after the attack and one year after the 2025 ceasefire agreement, Israel has 'no desire to to stay in Gaza or to run the city of Gaza.'
