In a viral exchange at a congressional hearing last week, the new congresswoman from Minnesota, Ilhan Omar, who is quickly establishing herself as the most reprehensible member of the House Democratic freshman class despite stiff competition, launched into Elliott Abrams. She accused the former Reagan official and Trump’s special envoy to Venezuela of being complicit in war crimes.
Why does the left insist on inventing bigoted bogeymen waiting around every dark corner? Maybe because stoking race hatred ensures continued power for the Democratic Party. Divided populations are easier to manipulate and rule. There would be no Democratic coalition without racial animosity. It is what holds their constituencies together. That is the point of identity politics. It is why they are forever reopening the wound.

I spent much of the last few years travelling the country and studying the plight of the working class. For any honest and informed observer, it’s impossible to deny that the suffering is real. And it’s not going away, even when Trump does.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has done our country a great service. By helping to drive Amazon out of New York, the young progressive congresswoman has reminded us, and her colleagues, that political grandstanding can have real world consequences.

Andrew McCabe is a good witness and he made a favorable impression, at least on me, in his '60 Minutes' interview with Scott Pelley. Pelley and his editors did a great job highlighting McCabe’s down-to-earth likability.
Public weariness, combined with hyperventilating politicians and amped up activists, put Republicans and Democrats alike at risk of political overreach
In order to move past tragedies, we must allow God to penetrate these unhealed spaces. As we allow God into that space, we discover more about who He is and who we are in Him - even (or especially) in light of the unexpected tragedy that has occurred.
Amazon’s decision last week to scrap plans for an HQ2 campus in New York sent the circular firing squad into action. The blue-on-blue attacks pit the far left against the far, far left in yet another front of the party’s civil war.
A New York Times op-ed by Jonathan Rauch and Peter Wehner caught my eye last week because it perfectly captured the prejudice and hate of the Never Trump Republicans...
The political world barely raised its eyebrows when news broke that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders had recorded a video announcing his 2020 presidential campaign.
Ask any college senior where the best jobs are, and you'll probably hear a list of coastal metropolises: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the like.
When you observe Presidents’ Day, whether you are spending a long weekend with friends and family or just relaxing and catching up on chores or hobbies, take some time to reflect on why this holiday is so important to our country.
