Buzzwords Privacy Policy

This policy covers buzzwords.news, buzzwords.technology, worldsituation.com, buzzword.today, buzzwords.info and buzzwordstoday.com (the "Sites"), operated by White Wolf Technology LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights.

1. What we collect

1.1 Forms. When you use our Contact or Invest form, we collect your first name, last name, email address and any message you write. Submissions are stored on our servers and emailed to our team. The forms use a simple math question and other automatic checks to block spam. These checks run on our own servers, and no third-party CAPTCHA service is used.

1.2 Visit records. Our own servers record each page you view: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, screen size, the page address, the referring page, the time of the visit and, if you are logged in, your account number. We remove passwords, login links and other secret tokens from page addresses before storing them. This recording uses a first-party cookie (_pk_id…, 13 months) to recognize returning browsers and a 30-minute session cookie (_pk_ses…) to group the pages of one visit. If you arrive from another site or a campaign link, a third cookie (_pk_ref…, 6 months) remembers that referring address. It runs for all visitors and is not controlled by the cookie banner.

1.3 Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how visitors find and use the Sites. Google receives your IP address and usage data in the United States, including the pages you view, how you arrived, any words you type into the site's search box, and when you start or submit a form (but not what you type into the form). We have turned off Google Signals and advertising features. In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Israel, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. Until you accept, your browser still sends Google limited signals without cookies (for example, that a page was viewed and that consent was not given), which Google uses only to estimate traffic in aggregate. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Elsewhere it is on by default. You can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

1.4 Cookies.

Static sites. worldsituation.com, buzzword.today, buzzwords.info and buzzwordstoday.com have no forms and do not use the visit recording in 1.2 or the _pk_id cookie. They set only the consent cookie (bz_consent, 6 months) and, if you accept or where it is on by default, the Google Analytics cookies. Our servers keep standard access logs for these sites (IP address, page, time) for security, as described in section 4.

1.5 News content. Our Sites show headlines, links and statistics derived from publicly available news feeds. They identify publishers, not you. To credit images correctly and respect publishers' rights, we keep the photo-credit lines that publishers include in their feeds and show them next to the images; they are deleted after 90 days. Our headline archive also contains the author line some publishers put in their feeds; it is not shown on our Sites or shared, new items no longer store it, and we are deleting the existing ones.

2. Why we use it (legal bases)

• Form submissions: to answer your request and take the steps you ask for (contract / pre-contract).
• Visit records and server logs: our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Sites and understanding their audience.
• Google Analytics in the EU/EEA, UK, CH and IL: your consent.
• Legal obligations, and protecting our rights.

We do not sell your personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not make automated decisions with legal or similar effects about you.

3. Who receives it

Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES delivers form emails; USA), Google LLC (Google Analytics; USA), and our email provider, which receives form notifications. The Sites and their databases run on servers we operate ourselves in the United States. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger or sale of the business.

buzzwords.news is moving from Wix to servers we operate ourselves. Form submissions made on the Wix version of buzzwords.news are held in our Wix account under Wix's privacy policy (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy), and are exported and archived privately by us before the Wix site is closed.

4. How long we keep it

• Visit records: 12 months.
• Server and security logs: up to 400 days.
• Form submissions and the related emails: until we delete them. We do not currently delete them on a fixed schedule; you can ask us to delete yours at any time (see "Your rights").
• Google Analytics: 14 months.

5. Your rights

• Everyone: you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at contact@d-e-v.com. We answer within 30 days. To find your visit records we may need the IP address you used or your _pk_id cookie value.
• EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland: you also have the rights to restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (for Google Analytics, use "Cookie settings"). You have the right to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, including our own visit statistics. Email contact@d-e-v.com with the subject "Objection". You may complain to your data protection authority.
• Israel: you may review your information in our database and request its correction or deletion under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981. Giving us information through our forms is voluntary, and you are under no legal obligation to provide it.
• US states: where a state privacy law applies to us, you may request access, correction or deletion. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
• Do Not Track: the Sites do not change their behavior in response to Do Not Track signals.

6. International transfers. We, our servers and our providers are in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States. We rely on our providers' data-processing terms and standard contractual clauses for transfers.

7. Children. The Sites are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Copyright and takedown requests. Headlines and images shown on the Sites remain the property of their publishers. To ask us to remove content, write to contact@d-e-v.com with the page address and the work concerned. We act on valid requests within 24 hours.

9. Changes. We will post updates here with a new effective date and, for material changes, a notice on the Sites.
