A 2001 cheating scandal on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" would have been an enormous story in the U.S., except that the news broke in the U.K. almost immediately after the Sept. 11 terror attacks. The under-covered aspect of the story brings an extra level of deliciousness to "Quiz," a three-part AMC miniseries that -- final answer -- is well worth the time.
Reuniting Steve Carell and "The Office" producer Greg Daniels, "Space Force" carries such an impressive payload -- from the star-heavy cast to the concept -- it's a shame the actual show isn't better. As is, this too-broad parody has sporadic moments but consistently feels like it's trying way too hard to achieve liftoff, like an "Airplane!" movie gone wrong.
Ice Cube canceled his appearance on "Good Morning America" on Thursday, directly referencing the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police as the reason why.
Claire Foy and Matt Smith are reuniting on stage. "The Crown" co-stars will perform in a socially-distanced play at the Old Vic in London this June, the iconic theater announced on its site.
As the daughter of Diana Ross, Tracee Ellis Ross' portrayal of a pop diva adds an appealing hook to "The High Note," which casts her as an aging songstress whose career has reached a crossroads. Despite a fairly generic tune, the movie comes together harmoniously enough, augmented in part by characters motivated and connected by their passion for music.
"Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich" begins with an arresting image: Close-up footage of the wealthy hedge-fund manager during a 2012 deposition, as he is questioned about allegedly soliciting minors for prostitution. It's grainy and raw, a fair description of this four-part documentary, which squarely focuses on the story from the alleged victims' perspective.
